September has been an extra special month for us as we opened the doors to our brand-new Purple Bell School Age Childcare service at SS Michael’s & Peter’s Junior School.
There is always something exciting about a new beginning, and over the past few weeks our new space has quickly started to feel like home. The children have been getting to know their new environment, settling into their routines, making new friendships and, most importantly, having plenty of fun along the way.
And what a lovely time of year to begin!
Autumn is such a wonderful season for children to explore. The changing colours, falling leaves, conkers, acorns and all the little treasures that can be found outdoors give us endless opportunities for creativity, discovery and play.
This month, our children have been out exploring and collecting acorns and other signs of autumn, before bringing some of that inspiration back indoors for our autumn art.
There is something so simple but special about heading outside together, seeing what we can find and allowing the children to notice the little changes happening around them. It encourages curiosity, conversation and creativity, and sometimes the best activities begin with something as small as an acorn!
Our first month at SS Michael’s & Peter’s has been filled with new faces, new friendships, autumn adventures and lots of happy moments.
We are so excited to see our new Purple Bell community grow and to see what adventures the rest of the year brings.
